Dental Implants

Are you missing one or more natural teeth? Do you wish to restore the beauty and functionality of your smile? Ask Dr. Jade Cherrington about dental implants in Redmond, Oregon. A dental implant is made up of a titanium implant post and a dental restoration. The dental implant post is surgically placed in your jawbone, where it acts as replacement tooth roots. The dental restoration, which can be a dental crown, dental bridge, or dentures, is attached to the top of the dental implant post. Dr. Jade Cherrington uses Nobel Biocare®, a high-end company whose products and treatment concepts empower our dentist to provide fully functional, natural-looking dental implants. Dental implant parts from Nobel Biocare are easy to find, which benefits the patient.

Tooth Implants

When placing a dental implant, our dentist will first surgically place the titanium implant post in the bone socket of the missing tooth. As your jawbone heals, it will fuse to the implant post. This makes the implant post a permanent part of your smile. Healing will take about six to twelve weeks. An abutment, a small connector post, will then be attached to the implant post. Impressions of your teeth are then taken so that your dental restoration can be constructed. When your restoration is complete, our dentist will connect it to the abutment.
